LOUGHTON 40 HOOPS PROGRAM

Terms and Conditions:

1. There is a minimum of 10 participants needed for the program to commence. If this number has not been reached Loughton 40 Hoops reserves the right to not proceed in which case a full refund will be given back to registered participants.

2. All Loughton 40 Hoops coaches have valid and current working with kids Blue Card for the delivery of the program in accordance with the requirements of the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000.

3. Loughton 40 Hoops may accept or reject any application in its absolute discretion without reason.

4 a. In the unlikely event where a single training session needs to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, act of God (weather related), or sickness to coaches, Loughton 40 Hoops will endeavour to notify all parents/guardians at least 24hrs before the cancelled session. A postponed date will be offered that is for the same day of the week and same timeslot but in a later week of that term or the first week of the next term. If neither of these options are possible due to a conflict with the school’s availability the session will not be able to be rescheduled unfortunately and the cost of the single session will not be reimbursed to participants.

4 b. If a series of sessions cannot proceed due to unforeseen circumstances where the school has deemed unsuitable for students to attend the school or basketball courts (ie global pandemic, unforeseen construction/repair at basketball courts) then a full refund of the remaining sessions will be given back to participants minus a $5 admin cost.

5. It is the responsibility of the participant to be at the basketball gym/facility for the time of the session. No refunds will be offered for participants who were unable to make the session for any reason. This includes school run events / excursions or camps that prevent the participant from attending any session.

6. There is always a risk of injury playing basketball. All participants in the Loughton 40 Hoops program participate at their own risk. Loughton 40 Hoops will not be liable for any injury sustained during the program.

7. Loughton 40 Hoops will have a basic first aid kit at each session to cater to minor incidents, and will notify the parent/guardian in such a case of any reasonable incident the coach deems necessary to report.

8. Loughton 40 Hoops may use a variety of basketball equipment from time to time for skills and games. Loughton 40 Hoops is responsible for any equipment brought into the session that it is safe for the participants to use in its intended way. We are not liable for any injuries sustained through any mistreating and misuse of the equipment by the participant.

9. Loughton 40 Hoops will collect personal information in the course of registration. We will not disclose any information to a third party in accordance to the National Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988.

10. Loughton 40 Hoops wish to take video and photos at various training sessions from time to time for communication to parents and for promotional and coaching purposes. Selecting “no” on the image consent section of the registration form will mean we will blur your child’s image should they appear in any shot.

11. If the participant has registered and paid for the program and due to unforeseen circumstances know more than 48hrs before the program commences that the participant cannot attend any sessions please contact loughton40hoops@gmail.com and it will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
